Thanksgiving blessings: prayers from around the world

Giving thanks. Just those words recall family prayers around the Thanksgiving table, laden with favorite dishes waiting to be shared. Blessings counted through the year also can give rise to everyday prayers of gratitude. Many faith traditions offer wonderful examples of thankful prayers acknowledging the beauty of our world, the gifts of life and each other, health and healing, and the big and little pleasures that fill each day.
